It’s too bad I was working (which enables me to replace the grill you stole, asshole) and missed you when you decided to drop in.

Perhaps you’ll think twice and decide to return it, or at least invite me over for a bar-b-q at whichever low-income housing project you live in. I have dreams of eating 1 last burger off my beloved Weber right before I take the hot spatula and anally penetrate you with it, cooking your large intestines in the process. Then feeding that to your dog… and mother.

You’re scum. I hope cancer gets the best of you.

Josh

PS: Take care of it. Douchebag.

Decline 3

Someone on YouTube was nice enough to divide The Decline of Western Civilization: Part III into nine 10 minute long clips for all to enjoy. You won’t have to wait 10 years like I did, literally. Just like the original Decline (1981), this movie goes back to the LA punk scene, this time in the mid ’90s, and documents the lives of a handful of homeless street punks/squatters living on the streets of Hollywood. The second Decline, called The Metal Years, documented the mid ’80s hair metal trend in LA.

I first heard of the third Decline movie through a small Rolling Stone article around the time it was released in 1998, but it was never distributed. Only film critics and a few lucky people at various film festivals ever got a chance to see it until recently, when director Penelope Spheeris sold a limited amount of VHS copies on the official Decline website. Unfortunately, I wasn’t on top of things and got wind of it too late so I was still left waiting. Thankfully, someone on YouTube was more on the ball and got him(or her)self a copy and posted it for the rest of us to enjoy.

My buddy Ken posted a link to this site called Animoto a week or so ago but I just got around to checking it. It’s a pretty cool site and fun to play with, especially if you use a gallery like Picassaweb, Flickr, or Photobucket or don’t mind uploading a bunch of images. You select your images, upload an mp3 (or choose from their selection of songs), and it generates a cool little video for you. I just got done toying with my first video using pictures from my recent Las Vegas trip, check it out:

Damn… no Internet connection can really slow down your blog posting. It’s been a while, let’s recap!

Since my last post on here there’s been several events I wanted to post about but couldn’t. The first was a 311/Matisyahu concert I went to in Atlanta at HiFi Buys Amphitheatre. I wanted to do a post just like The Blue Man Group/Mike Relm concert, but… oh well. That being said, 311 is probably one of the best rock group’s I’ve seen live and I’d definitely love to see them again sometime. I still don’t think they can compete with The Blue Man Group or the 2006 QN5 Megashow at CBGB’s, though. It really was a great live show though and it was awesome taking Julie to her first real concert ever.

Also since the last post, Julie and I went to Savannah and Brunswick/St. Simons/Jekyll Island, GA for her birthday in the middle of September to visit her sister, brother-in-law, and nephew. We came back here ready to pack up and move to Savannah. Awesome place. Chase was dead-on with suggesting Vinnie VanGoGo’s Pizza and Wet Willie’s frozen daiquiris.

Two weeks after that trip my parents flew us out to Las Vegas for a few nights for my birthday and my best friend George came out, too. Wow. That’s all I can really say. GREAT TIME! We didn’t get married or win millions but we had a blast and made it back alive. I’ll post pictures on my gallery soon… if I can ever remember the freakin’ password. Until then, I’ll post a few pictures here.

Wake me up before you go go!Do yourself a favor.

If you’re ever on the Spectrum at 14th St. & Veterans Pkwy in Columbus, GA and run into this guy, buy him a 40oz of Colt 45 and have him sing Wham! – Wake Me Up Before You Go Go and dance. It’s perhaps the best entertainment for your money in the Chattahoochee Valley area.

The Blue Man Group – How to be a Megastar 2.0 Tour

Who? The Blue Man Group & Mike Relm (opening act)
When? March 13, 2007
Where? Columbus Civic Center, Columbus, GA

First of all, I want to thank Ryno (plug: 95.7 The River) for scoring the tickets. We were on the floor, center stage, about 8-9 rows back. You can’t beat that for free! Plus, with the guest passes we had we got to meet The Blue Man Group, their band, and Mike Relm after the performance.

[opener]
A DJ named Mike Relm was the opening act. He’s easily my favorite opener for any show I’ve been to. He was an amazing DJ, but his set was also just highly entertaining and very funny. He would spin and scratch scenes from various movies/tv shows (Office Space, School of Rock, Pee Wee Herman) and have the scene on the screens behind him. I ended up buying a t-shirt and CD of his, which I got him to autograph when I met him after the show.

[headliner]
Wow.

I’ve been to my fair share of concerts, including some pretty theatrical performances (Kiss, Gwar, & The Misfits to name a few), but I don’t know if anyone can top the show these guys put on. If you ever get the chance, whether you’re in NYC or Vegas or you catch them touring, definitely go see them.

The tour that came here was the “How to be a Megastar 2.0 Tour”. Basically, they just showed infomercial-style clips on the jumbotrons about how to be a rockstar and what the audience should be doing. We did classic moves like “the one fist pump” and “the head bob”. Most people know what The Blue Man Group is about, and they didn’t disappoint. I’m not sure what else to say about them.
